In today's lesson i very nearly started and finished my contents page, this is my contents page from my college magazine. I haven't finished it yet and I'm not completely happy with this. For example, I don't like how plain the background looks and the whole page looks cluttered and overcrowded. I could've made the contents a dps to avoid this. I also want to add some more pictures so it is interesting to look at.
As you can see here I made my contents page on Adobe Photoshop, which isn't the right program to use, (which I found out after I nearly finished it ,) I should've used Adobe Indesign. It would've been a lot easier for me to get my columns exactly perfect and things like that. However I find Indesign excessively hard to use so I opted for keeping my photoshop contents page.

I really like how you used a grid layout because it makes the contents page look professional. I also like how you made the 'STAR' different colour because it stand out.
ReplyDeleteImprovement: You need to create this on InDesign and not photoshop.
This contents page is rich with information which I like as it genuinely directs the audience throughout the magazine. This when compared to professional magazines is a nice effect due to the fact that they tend to miss out pages and keep information hidden from others. The layout of the white background does not make the information look clustered as a whole and keeps to a colour scheme of black, blue & yellow. the images that are used suit the style of the magazine as they are college based but, the only downside is that it would be better with a few more images however it it is not a big problem as it helps the reader focus on the information.
